Hello everyone!
We are excited to announce that we will be hosting our creative writing competition, Mastermind Season 7 on our website on the discussion forums under “Official Mastermind Contests” from Sunday September 1st 2024 at 12:00am EST to Saturday September 14th 2024 at 11:59pm EST!
Unlike past Mastermind competitions, this season will NOT be hosted on Discord. Instead, we will be posting threads onto the “Official Mastermind Contests” category of the discussion form. This season will be open to any member of the community and no completion of any application form is required to participate. Mastermind Season 7 will last for two weeks (starting from September 1st) and will consist of a single writing challenge.

Additionally, for each season, we will be posting four separate threads under “Official Mastermind Contests.” The Mastermind Season 7 Announcement Thread is the post you are reading at this moment.
During this season, the Mastermind Season 7 Submission Thread will be the place for any participant to turn in their submissions via file upload and a 200-300 word writer’s statement is required to accompany the submission. The Mastermind Season 7 Discussion Thread will be the place for participants to ask questions about the writing challenge, or give peer feedback for others’ submissions.
At the end of each season, we will post the Mastermind Season 7 Results Thread, which will announce the winners and be a space for judges to provide constructive feedback and scores alongside the opportunity for any of the season participants to ask questions about their graded submissions.
At the end of the competition, we will contact the winners via email from info@mastermindbp.com if you are eligible to receive a prize. We will not use any other email address to give out the prizes.
All prizes come in the form of PayPal donations so you need to have an email that is connected to a PayPal account to receive the award(s).
The submission(s) with the highest number of points will win the 1st place $100 USD prize and the submission(s) with the second and third-highest number of points will receive a $50 USD prize each.
