What type of writing competitions are Mastermind and Planet Profiling?
How long are the competitions?
Our Mastermind competitions involve answering a prompt to a single creative writing challenge.
Our Planet Profiling competitions involve examining data about a fictional exoplanet and using that information to answer world-building questions in a magazine-styled article.
As of 2025, every competition cycle lasts for one and a half months each. In around the first 30 days, all members can participate and post a response to the writing prompt(s). In the around the last 14 days, each submission will be graded and the three people with the highest scored submissions will earn prize money. The winner earns $100 USD and the runner-ups earn $50 USD each.
How is the prize money received?
After a competition cycle is completed, we will contact all eligible winners by email. Official emails will only be sent from info@projectinfinitybp.com and contestants must have a PayPal.Me link to receive the prize. This ensures that your personal information will remain protected.
What other platforms are used?
Other than our website where anyone can create an account by signing up for free, we also post actively on our Community Discord. The Discord will serve as an online space for announcing competitions and help facilitate discussion during our writing contests. Please note that you will need to create a Discord account to join our Discord and it is free.
